Hello,
I'm Daniele
I'm from Macerata, in the Marche region. On this page, you can find out who I am, what I do and what I love.
Building a relationship with my students is very important to me. If you can't find everything you'd like to know, it's because I like to leave some surprises for our lessons.
I was born on May 19, 1976 in Macerata.
I lived there until the age of 9. Then I moved to the countryside, near the house of my maternal grandparents. After middle school I attended the Industrial Technical Institute and became a computer expert. As a teenager I practiced judo, basketball and at 18 I started playing American football. I worked in a furniture factory for about a year and then I served in the military for a year in the Carabinieri. Since I didn't like IT, I didn't like being a carabinieri and I didn't like being a factory worker, I started working for an underwear wholesaler. While I was working there, I also played in a band: "L'orchestra maldestra". In 1999 I enrolled at university, at the Faculty of Communication Science. In 2004 I did my Erasmus in Santiago de Compostela, where I also learned Spanish and Galician. It was a beautiful experience. During my last month there I fell in love and so I moved to Prague with my Czech girlfriend. After a few months I had to go back to Italy for my degree. I graduated in 2004 with 110/110 cum laude. It was an exciting day.
Then I went to live in Ireland, in Dublin, to improve my English in that fascinating country. After two years in Ireland I returned to Italy, where I worked for a year for a company that sent me to Germany, Belgium, but above all to Portugal, where I stayed for a few months.
In 2008 I started teaching Italian to foreign learners, after an internship at the Mediterranean Linguistic Institute of Pisa, where I followed a preparation course for the DITALS exam. In 2009 I completed a Master in "Didactics of Italian L2 / LS in an intercultural perspective". I worked as a teacher for two different schools, before becoming the didactic director of the Campus Magnolie school in Castelraimondo in 2014. Before I started working in this role I attended the teacher training course at the DILIT International House school in Rome. A fantastic experience.
When I started as a school director, in the first year we had 300 students, then I started traveling the world to promote our school. The second year we had 600 students, then 900 and then 1250 until the pandemic. During the promotion tours I taught Italian culture lessons at Italian language institutions abroad, as well as training courses for teachers. In the last 5 years I have directed CampusLAB, a free training course for LS Italian teachers which was attended by Giuseppe Patota, Gabriele Pallotti, Franca Bosc, Christopher Humphris, Luisa Guerrini, Luigi Micarelli and many others.
In 2019 I created the + WOMEN Project: educating women. To date, more than 50 teachers have participated.
In my entire career I have had over 1000 students and I have trained as many teachers in 20 countries. I have been a CELI, CILS and IT examiner and have already prepared many students for these certifications, but also for PLIDA.

I am a volunteer blood donor and I love to cook for myself and for others. I also love nature, hiking, traveling, learning about new things. I am constantly studying other languages and in this period I am dedicating myself to German. I like cinema and theater (I am an amateur actor and I am part of a theater company), but also music (I sing and play the guitar). I have played basketball for many years and am studying to become a coach. I love visiting exhibitions and museums, getting lost in the cities of art, getting drunk with all the colors and smells of life which is, for better or for worse, always INCREDIBLE.
